Vacuum pumps for laboratory devices
Vacuum pumps for Autoclave Applications
Bench top autoclaves are used in dental practices, laboratories, or medical and veterinary centers to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to pressurized, saturated steam. Most units use a fractionated sterilization process, which alternately evacuates and pulses steam from and to the autoclave chamber. A pump is required for the evacuation step of the procedure.
Gardner Denver Thomas offers laboratory vacuum pumps with highly efficient and consistent vacuum performance to ensure reliable and quick sterilization. Our gas diaphragm pumps are particularly suitable for autoclave applications as they combine optimal vacuum characteristics with stable flow and high tolerance for water vapor.
Thanks to their well-balanced design and smooth performance, our vacuum pumps are also exceptionally quiet. This is particularly important as autoclaves are often found in working environments.
To prevent damage from aggressive media, such as dental oils, our pumps are available in a choice of EPDM or FKM elastomers. Our engineers will select the optimal material for your application to ensure chemical compatibility.
