Pumps and compressors for the food and beverage industry

Numerous appliances used in the food and beverage industry require pumps and compressors to operate. Gardner Denver Thomas supplies a diverse range of products for such applications, including state-of-the-art pump technologies as well as products for nitrogen generation, dispensing, gas mixing, and air generation to drive pneumatic devices and pumps.

Our pumps and compressors are manufactured to the highest quality standards to ensure quiet, reliable operation. We apply our extensive ex-food-perience in food and beverage applications to accommodate our customers’ needs throughout product development, design, validation and testing.

Coffee Machine compressors

During the percolating stage, a compressor is used to force water through the coffee beans in a hopper. This method of coffee making increases the flavor and strength of the beverage.

Advantages of Gardner Denver Thomas pumps and compressors for coffee machines:

  • Optimal performance
  • Compact design configurations
  • Long-life reliability

Beverage Dispenser pumps

Mobile beverage dispensers are typically used for private events and parties. The units are composed of a cooling system and a small compressor, which is used to tap the beverage. In some cases, the compressor is combined with a pressure switch.

Advantages of Gardner Denver Thomas pumps and compressors for beverage dispensers:

  • Optimal performance
  • Long-life reliability for low system maintenance
  • Resistant to extreme or variable ambient conditions

Ice Cream Dispenser pumps

Dispensers are typically used to serve soft ice cream at fast food restaurants, shopping malls, and mini-marts. Such machines require compressed air to eject the ice cream into cones and cups.

Advantages of Gardner Denver Thomas pumps and compressors for ice cream dispensers:

  • Readily adaptable to various performance criteria
  • Compact design configurations
  • Long-life reliability for low system maintenance

Nitrogen Generator compressors

Nitrogen generators are used for a variety of applications in the food and beverage industry, such as preservation, packaging, storage and transportation. The generators produce nitrogen from compressed air, which is supplied by a dedicated air compressor. The compressor is mounted at the entrance point of the system, and passes compressed air through sets of filters to remove impurities before entering into the generator. The air then passes through another filter that eliminates oxygen and carbon dioxide, resulting in high purity hydrogen gas.

Advantages of Gardner Denver Thomas pumps and compressors for nitrogen generation systems:

  • Optimal performance
  • Long-life reliability
  • Readily adaptable design configurations
